Today, we are going to discuss step by step guide to diagnose outgoing mail and delay delivery notification problem on your Roadrunner account. If you are also getting a delay in receiving the delivery notification, then pay kind attention to this page on the internet.
Firewall settings
Sometimes, Firewall or proxy settings enabled on your computer by default prevents mail from receiving on your account or create a problem in a delivery message to other mail address. Disable firewall for some minutes and check if the problem is resolved or not.
SMTP settings
These settings play an important role in sending the message from your server or account to different mail account. If the SMTP settings are not properly configured on the RR email account, then you will find a problem in sending the mail to your friend. Check the port number set by default for your outgoing port address. If you are facing any problem, you can contact RRcomlogin support.
DNS configuration
This problem is related to the email address. If you are entering wrong mail address in the ‘To’ field, then you may find a problem in getting the delivery notification as well as the problem with outgoing mail. To diagnose this, you can run the activity log and check the email address you have entered is correct or not. You can also fetch the report from the DNS support link.
Refused connection
If your connection has been refused by the server due to some problem in the mail, then you will find a problem with the outgoing mail. Check the activity log for the same and relate the problem with the errors that are traced in the log report. If the IP address of the server is wrong or PTR record is not available, then you will get ‘Refused connection’ message on the screen.
Delivery delay notifications
To diagnose or identify the delivery delay notifications, you can contact RR com support team. They will help you in identifying the problem and provide the troubleshooting tips accordingly. The detailed summary of the problem will be made available on the screen once you call at RR com support.
Don’t forget to check the sender’ address. If it is added in the blocked email addresses list, then you may not be able to deliver your message to that address. Analyze the SMTP outgoing queue properly for RR Webmail account. Debug entries available in the logged account and combine the inputs to compile final results.
Client Relay settings
The problem in the client relay settings can be due to the following reason:
- Incorrect user credentials.
- Account not authenticated.
- SMTP relay settings.
- Enable relay for authenticated senders.
When you enable ‘Relay for authenticated senders’ you will get username and password for the active clients. You can then send mail to the non-local addresses. The SMTP authentication of your Roadrunner mail is mandatory. Without which you can’t send and receive even a single mail.
From other mail client programs like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, you must enable SMTP from ‘My server required authentication’ option. This is given under the outgoing and incoming mail server settings. Click on the box given next to the option to enable it.
