Many people have iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, which are running on iOS 8.4. While using their smartphones, they came across a strange thing while changing their email settings. They have tried doing the original setup for email services such as Road Runner Web Mail and found it worked smoothly.

Incoming server mail:

Host Name: pop-server.ny.rr.com.  (ny stands for New York, so if you are living in any other location, then add the initials of that location).

Outgoing server mail:

SMTP: mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com.

People don’t have the ability to create additional mailboxes or folders in RR com login mail in order to move mails in the similar way like Gmail.

But, people who are using multiple RR email accounts noticed one day that except for one email account, others were having additional email folders. People were shocked to see this because they never experienced this thing before. Those additional mailboxes and folders were also editable, but that one email account remained unchanged.

Then, they checked the settings of those email accounts that have the capability of folder edits, and they found the following settings:-

INCOMING: Mail.twc.com

OUTGOING: Mail.twc.com

Some email addresses were editable, but one remained unchanged. They get the message that emails can’t be checked because it is currently being used on some other device. They think if they were using email app on their tablets, then they will get the message when attempting to open the email account on Apple iPhone.

People are worried that they are weird things happening when trying to open RR com login mail on Apple iPhone. People don’t have any idea as to why these things are happening and what needs to be done in order to fix them.

RR email used to work before 8.4 update, but as soon as people updated their Apple iPhones to this new version, the problem start to appear. They also don’t know whether they are the only ones who are facing the problem or there are others as well.

They are really looking for a solution for this problem, They have tried shutting down the system, but the problem didn’t go away.

Here is the solution for this problem; You will have to create new mailboxes and for that, you will need to change to pop server. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Go to mail, contacts, calendars from settings.
  2. Select ‘add account’ followed by ‘other’.
  3. Now, you have to select ‘add email account’.
  4. You have to enter your name, email ID, password and description.
  5. Now, select ‘Next’.
  6. Choose either IMAP or POP.
  7. Finally, you have to enter your account settings or confirm them, if they are automatically set.

For more details about the server address, port number, security type and other details, you will have to get in touch with RR com support because they know the right settings. Moreover, if the problem doesn’t get fixed, then you can tell them right there. You can save both, your time and money by contacting official RoadRunner support.
